About Us

Our Mission and Vision

Health Action Massachusetts is a registered 501(c)(4) non-profit organization committed to protecting and advancing medical, religious, parental, educational, and disability rights. Through grassroots advocacy, public policy, and quality educational resources, we empower individuals and families to drive meaningful change.

We believe education is a fundamental right and a cornerstone of opportunity. Our mission is to ensure equitable access to education for all, free from discrimination or coercion, while promoting healthier future generations through policies that address diet, nutrition, and overall well-being, enabling children to thrive and reach their full potential.

We envision a community of informed, proactive citizens advocating for policies that directly impact their lives. By providing accurate resources and fostering civic engagement, we aim to build a healthier, more inclusive future for today’s children and future generations.

Our Recent Accomplishments

Since 2019, we have successfully opposed numerous proposed bills, amendments and mandates that were harmful and discriminatory. This includes bills allowing minors to consent to treatment without their parent’s knowledge or approval and those denying in-person schooling for children who need it the most, including those from diverse backgrounds, lower socioeconomic classes, and special needs situations.

In our continued efforts to support our mission, we have proposed legislation protecting religious freedom, individualized medical care, educational rights and parental autonomy. We have also joined forces with other organizations that share our purpose and participated in numerous educational and outreach activities.

Action Plans

Massachusetts prides itself on diversity and inclusion with a proven history of passing laws which limit and frown upon discrimination on the basis of any civil liberty or right. Our constitution shaped that of the nation and was the first to claim everyone to be equal.

We continue this by upholding people's rights to make sound decisions with our action plans which include:

Preserving health choice and informed consent.

We are against medical coercion. We caution against the use of fear to contribute to an environment of bullying based on individual differences and choices.

An end to discriminatory and segregative educational policies.

Our Massachusetts team is leading the lobbying/education efforts within the state in opposition to several bills introduced in this legislative session about the removal/restriction of school exemptions.

Equity for all in education and jobs without discrimination

The Massachusetts Public Accommodation Law prohibits, among other things, making any distinction, discrimination, or restriction in admission to or treatment in a place of public accommodation based on race, color, religious creed, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, deafness, blindness, or any physical or mental disability, or ancestry. We strongly support this law and will fight any attempts to undermine it.

Protecting and advancing informed consent, medical privacy, and vaccine choice.

Through effective public policy, quality educational resources, and training to an engaged, connected community.
