About Us
Our Mission and Vision
Health Action Massachusetts is a registered 501(c)(4) non-profit organization that exists to protect and maintain medical, religious, parental and educational rights through grassroots advocacy, influential public policy, quality educational resources, and training to an engaged, connected community.
At our core, we are focused on preserving individual rights, while advancing equity and equality in access to education for all without discrimination or coercion. Education is a fundamental right and is foundational for students to have the same opportunities in their lives.
We are devoted to helping all individuals advocate for educational rights for both themselves and their families, regardless of medical status. We envision a community of informed, pro-active citizens advocating for or against bills that directly impact their lives. We will achieve this by providing current, factual educational resources and events for proposed legislation in the Commonwealth.
Our Recent Accomplishments
In our continued efforts to support our mission, we have proposed legislation protecting religious freedom, individualized medical care, educational rights and parental autonomy. We have also joined forces with other organizations that share our purpose and participated in numerous educational and outreach activities.
Action Plans
Massachusetts prides itself on diversity and inclusion with a proven history of passing laws which limit and frown upon discrimination on the basis of any civil liberty or right. Our constitution shaped that of the nation and was the first to claim everyone to be equal.
We continue this by upholding people's rights to make sound decisions with our action plans which include:
Preserving health choice and informed consent.
We are against medical coercion. We caution against the use of fear to contribute to an environment of bullying based on individual differences and choices.
An end to discriminatory and segregative educational policies.
Our Massachusetts team is leading the lobbying/education efforts within the state in opposition to several bills introduced in this legislative session about the removal/restriction of school exemptions.
Equity for all in education and jobs without discrimination
The Massachusetts Public Accommodation Law prohibits, among other things, making any distinction, discrimination, or restriction in admission to or treatment in a place of public accommodation based on race, color, religious creed, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, deafness, blindness, or any physical or mental disability, or ancestry. We strongly support this law and will fight any attempts to undermine it.
Protecting and advancing informed consent, medical privacy, and vaccine choice.
Through effective public policy, quality educational resources, and training to an engaged, connected community.
