Health Action Massachusetts advocates for public policies that protect individual rights while strengthening the health and well-being of families across the Commonwealth. We believe effective public policy should be evidence-based, transparent, proportionate, and respectful of constitutional liberties.

We support policies that preserve every child’s access to an equitable, in-person education. Education is a fundamental determinant of lifelong health, economic opportunity, and well-being. We oppose policies that unnecessarily exclude children from school or create barriers to educational access, particularly for children with disabilities, those from lower-income households, and other vulnerable populations.

We believe public health and individual rights are complementary, not competing, principles. Massachusetts has demonstrated that strong public health protections can coexist with respect for religious liberty, parental rights, and educational access. We support practical, evidence-based public health measures that improve health outcomes while preserving fundamental freedoms.

Health Action MA supports individualized, patient-centered medical care that recognizes each person’s unique medical history, risks, and circumstances. Individuals who experience adverse reactions to medical products deserve compassionate, evidence-informed care, continued research, and access to appropriate medical treatment.

We believe parents and legal guardians should remain the primary decision-makers for their children’s medical care, except in limited circumstances established by law. Ethical informed consent, transparency, and meaningful patient and family involvement are essential to building trust in healthcare and protecting children’s well-being.

Health Action MA also supports initiatives that promote healthier communities through improved nutrition, access to wholesome foods, and policies that strengthen the long-term health and resilience of children and families.

Our advocacy is guided by one core principle: every person deserves to have their rights respected, their voice heard, and the opportunity to thrive. We are committed to advancing policies that protect public health while preserving educational opportunity, parental rights, religious liberty, disability rights, and informed medical decision-making for all Massachusetts families.
